I've been looking at reviews of the Nikon P5100 and Canon G9 cameras. It seems the reviewers are all over the board on cameras. Some of the reviewers sound like they are simply printing the press releases issued by the manufacturers. The reviews are word for word identical on some, as if the review was written for them by a third party.
I went to the pcmag online review for high end, point and shoot cameras. Their review showed both the old Nikon P5000 and the new Nikon P5100 which replaces the 5000. They reviewed the Canon G7, but not the G9. The G7 didn't fare well in the reviews because they had a list price of $739.00 and they said it is heavy. Picture quality was rated as average. I've already located the G9 for $439.00. They listed a Panosonic Luminix as the editor choice camera. Most other reviews didn't even list the Luminix. Are the reviewers given financial consideration for good reviews?
