A couple of pictures from a while back. I was shooting bikes at Silverstone, and Honda turned up for some testing on an unused part of the track.
It would have been rude not to get some shots!

Excellent shots. :-D Looks like Jenson Button. Hopefully he will have more luck next year. Shame he hasn't yet been given a car to match his abilities.

Looking at Honda's results from last year, that may have just been an optical illusion.;) Great shots. Love #2.

Fast is a relative term. Alone on track the Honda will be fast but up against the majority of last year's F1 cars it's like comparing a Lada to a Bugatti Veyron :D
2 nice shots there from another day in what was laughably called a British summer. :)

In fact Honda was extremely fast and reasonably competitive in the 2006 season; I believe when this shot was taken. They had some reliability issues, but finished fourth in the constructors title. ;)
Nice shots!

Well if the championship started at the start of the 2nd half of the 06 season, button would have won the championship lol. From that to what they were this year, pathetic, but thats what you get for forgetting to calibrate your wind tunnel properly.
Great shots, 2 is a cracker, love the sense of speed as well.

Isn't the name on his helmet? Ray Ban. ;)

Love the first one - those cars are awesome no matter how uncompetitive they are compared to the rest of the F1 field.....

What shutter did you use in the second pic where the car looks so sharp with motion in the wheel?

Thanks everyone, glad you like them.
The exif data for both pictures is
Exposure time: 1/400
F-stop: 5.6
ISO speed: 400
Focal length: 400.0000
Focal length (35mm): 600
Flash: Not fired
Exposure mode: Manual
White balance: Manual
Light source: Cloudy weather
Exposure bias: 0.3333
Metering mode: Pattern
Exposure program: Manual
Some sports use 400 or 500ths of a second to freeze the motion, but the speed of the wheel would need 4000th or above to freeze it. All to often I see apparently static shots of F1, so I like to try and add a bit of interest.
Cheers

I like the 2nd best.
Despite Honda having a bad year, Jenson had a great year and showed the talent I thought he had lost being a playboy. This year will be even better for him as the loss of driver aids will suit his smooth style.

Superb shots, especially the second. Can I ask when they were taken - that's the chassis from the 2005 season!
