Or do you just leave your camera parameter 1?

Parameter 2 most (90 percent, at least) of the time.
Parameter 1 for family snapshot type situations.

Why do you prefer two?Have you tried setting your own parameters?

Why do you prefer two?
Less in-camera processing - leaving more creative freedom for post processing.
Have you tried setting your own parameters?
No ... I've thought about it but haven't tried as yet. Since Parameter 2 sets everything at zero, I'd be delving into minuses for custom parameters. Might try some tests one of these days.

I shoot RAW
It's set for Adobe RGB, but it really doesn't matter when shooting RAW.

Used to use Parameter 2, and RAW. I also experimented with a custom setting of 1010. Now I use only AdobeRGB, and RAW when necessary.

I'm using raw but I can't wait till I can have the instant gratification of rew + jpg with my new 20d
Processing RAW is a PAIN if all you want to do is look at some candids

i like adobe rgb when i know its going right the a good canon printer made to handle it...color comes out great, but other than that...im not shooting for sports illustrated here, and i dont own a $499 canon printer...so yeah
Im just not getting to where i have enough memory in my arsenal to shoot RAW 100% of the time

i know what you mean about the memory
the 256mb that i bought for my a80 last october is getting a bit slow, so i need to upgrade and i'm thinking of getting a 1g, and then i'll start shooting RAW too

Ummm i hope not... Why small jpg. That is like buying a racecar and putting gocart tires on it
You bought all that gear, you should have budjeted at least a 512 card which will shoot iver 120 images on large jpg fine. never go below that.
