Maybe a female coopers, or maybe a sharpie, or something alltogether different; looking for an ID on this one; any help is appreciated, enjoy :)
I had a great time watching it work a field. It was too far away to see exactly what it was carying away from the field, but it looked like insects of some sort.

Isn't it a red shouldered hawk? Looks like one I saw at Corkscrew Swamp sanctuary in Florida.

Nice shots Kraig. Insects? If it was that small, it's a Sharp Shinned. About the size of a big Blue Jay? The only other hawk small enough for bugs is the Kestrel. :)

Thanks for the comments; yeah, it was munching away at some large insects; probly potato bugs, or big grass hoppers. Thanks for your help with the ID, it's a medium sized hawk, between the size of a crow and a Red tail :)
