The summer is nice, I like the warmth. The trouble with summer is that the two periods of best light are so far apart. At this time of year the dawn and sunset are close together and theres plenty of time in the evening for PP.

You got to love it!

You got to love it!I have to agree BUT my dilemma is that at the time of sunrise, I am driving to work and the route I take is a red route so no stopping at all, unless I breakdown. I may have my camera with me but never get enough time to stop.

Dusk is even worse since it falls about 4pm and I do not finish

I hate this time of year... I basically get up in the dark and get out of school in the dark. There just isnt much time for me to shoot during the day. I am on break now however so that is nice. It's -9 degrees where I am at right now, Cheyenne WY, and that is one reason I hate winter.

I'd rather it be 75-90 degrees. I can at least shoot in that for a good period of time. I can barely walk to and from my car 15 feet from the house without my fingers getting cold, let alone shoot for any period.

Thank goodness today's wedding is indoors for me.

it's quite warm here (not -9 anyway - please specify the unit you're working in though - farenheit is useless, but some people insist on using it)... :D

It's always dark though. dark in the morning, dark in the afternoon. The sun's setting by 2pm!

Trust me. In Colorado/Wyoming they still use the "useless" Farenheit system. But then, Farenheit isn't useless. We use because it irritates Europeans.

When it's -40° out, we'll all be in agreement.

The metric system wasn't used in the UK until about 20 or 30 years ago, right?! My husband says he grew up with farenheit and when he went back to visit, it was celcius. And gallons switched to liters. It's not as if it's been that way all along...

Trust me. The Brits have no right to criticize any measurement system we Americans use. After all, we got our measurements from them.

After all, it's penny wise and pound foolish! But after inflation, that's guinea foolish.

Having said that, I think the English system of measurements, as still used by the U.S., sucketh. Yea, verily!

Quick! How many chains in a mile?
