Hello all,
These pics are a bit old, but I figured I would share them anyway. I took them this year at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The first pic was during practice just as the sun was rising- which caused the dirt to glow. I used a wide angle lens for that shot. The second was on race day. I used a fisheye lens for that pic.
C&C please!
Enjoy,
Jeremiah

I love the first shot, it is something special.
The second shot would be better with a slower shutter speed.

Thanks for all the comments. The picture of Rhys Millen(backlit dirt) is pretty cool. I have some from other cars. But the way Rhys took that turn, and the amount of dirt he kicks up driving sideways made it the best.
agosling- Yeah I am still try to figure out how to pan better. I am just glad I got the wheels spinning in the pic. But thank you I will try your advice. Maybe I can stand on the side of a highway and take pics:)

I like both shots. A change of lens and shooting styles keeps thing fresh and interesting.

Very nice light in #1, maybe a little bit longer shutterspeed to get some more sense of speed into the picture.

#1 is great, but i think its a bit over-saturated? The red seems a bit hot... I could be wrong though?

#1 is great! for #2, how close were you? i presume pretty damn close since you were using a fisheye, or it's heavily cropped.

Great shots. The first picture is definitely poster worthy. These guys are nuts, I drove up and down Pikes Peak with some friends and I can not imagine going anywhere near as fast as these guys go.

For #2 I was within a few feet of the truck. Here is an even better one where I was within a few inches. No cropping done:eek:
