Here are a couple of the more built rigs at the exit. Words and pictures barely describe the line the Go Fast rig is attempting- he did get up it. I shot these with a wide angle lens. The lighting was a little dark as it was towards the end of the day and the sun was getting low in the sky.
C&C please!
Thanks,
Jeremiah

Nice shots. Some of the climbs these guys do are just crazy. I'd love to go watch some of this in person some day (and take pics) but as of now I've only seen it on tv. Not too many places to climb around San Diego, as far as I know.

^ True, you are pretty hard-pressed to find good crawling in socal- along the coast anyway.
This trail is about 2 hours from Denver. So not too close, but it can be done in one day easily.

Actually no- sorry. We had just rolled up to the exit when the Go Fast rig was running the crazy line. My first reaction was sprint to the top. I have a bunch of pictures from the rest of the trail. In fact here are a couple.

Great pictures! Makes me want to get some big fat tires and a lift kit on my jeep..
Just curious...what happens if one of them gets stuck? How on earth would they get their vehicle out of there?

They don't get stuck ;) Even if they did, everyone there has a crawler and multiple winches - best place in the world to get stuck!
This is also my other expensive hobby. You think camera gear costs? Try this

Yeah you never really get stuck. But it is a pain when something major breaks. Here is a carnage pic(pun intended) from that weekend. They ended up wrapping the winch cable around the steering mount to pull things together so he could get out. The bigger problem was when it broke, the driveshaft shifted and broke the tranny cooler line. By the time he got to the exit the tranny was slipping drastically. Note- this is why you avoid welding to cast parts. You can see there was no penetration into the diff case.

Very nice shots.
I'll be shooting the WEROCK Put Up Or Shut Up event in Congress, Az. this January 5-6. If you've never been, I suggest you get there if you are able. Great times, excellent photo ops and great people.
I don't mean to threadjack, but I took this pick last year at the Congress event. It is truly amazing what these vehicles can do. Attend if you can.

Wow that is insane. Cool perspective, the viewer gets a good sense of how crazy the line really is. The rear axle is quite interesting as well.
