For those of you who thought my "Drama" --->(http://www.vanert.net/gallery/flowers/acq shot was too blurry, what do you think of this one? (it smelled incredibly goooooooooood.)

Too boring?

No, I love this shot better than the other. I really like how the colour was concentrated at the heart and almost completely white-out at the outside. Just that, did you pick an imperfect sample on purpose? I saw that single yellowed petal somewhere there...
I love taking closeups of flowers as much as you do, here's my personal favourite, coupled with the fact that it was a gift to my dutch ex. Also a few visibly ruined petals here.

CLIO
I get the idea (and you have shot some wonderful flowers). But this one feel forced to me. It just seems placed to the side and does not seem to amplify any the composition.
I love the colors however. I guses that I woud center it since the stem is straight. Not sure.

Howie - click on the second link in Clio's post. The peach rose.
Clio - an interesting though maybe unintended statement on the fragility of life. Young peach beauty unfolds center stage while wilting yellow petal (old age?) waits to the side... Beautiful and sad at the same time.

Very poetic Mitch. Nicely put.
