Bernie is my adventurer/brother
Woody is his rust-colored mule
Magnolia is his dappled pony.
Together they are crossing America, from North Carolina westward. After sailing solo around the world in 5 years, Bernie decided he wanted to better understand America. Bernie talks to people, writes, and photographs. Woody and Shadow handle the media (TV, radio, etc.) and pretty much steal the show.
What does this all have to do with photography, and why am I straying from the safe universe of the G-series forum? Well, Bernie runs a blog, and ditched his laptop early on. He has some sort of Sony Mavica that records to mini-cds, and is in dire need of some hosted service which will allow him to do the two following things, *from any municipal library*:
-upload, then rotate 3Mo JPGs
-download an optimized version of said image.
He's currently using myimaging.com, but there's a 200K limit to image size, which means he's out of luck if the library doesn't have image editing software on its PC. If anyone has any resources that would work, please let him or me know. Freeware, shareware, Open Source, whatever.
Thanks on his (and my!) behalf - he's on his way to Chickasaw, OK, if anyone wants to meet this dapper trio.

Oh, almost forgot : http://www.riverearth.com - good writing, and pretty good photos for a guy on a mule
