Will you let me know what you think of this?

Thanks.

Neat.

First glance, made me think of a dragon rising out of the mist.

Second glance, made me think of mountains reflecting into water.

Only 1 response? I'm looking for critique, please.

Thanks.

Having seen what I think is your entire series of these so far, I would say that you are definitely improving.

This image might be improved with a bit more contrast between the light and shadows, and perhaps a crisper line along your shadows at the top, but I think it looks nice. It might also be neat if you were more angled so the top shadow area was at less vertical with the bottom shadow area (if that makes any sense).

It's an interesting change to see more of the image than you were previously giving us (either that or you have made a more complex setup). Keep working on them!

I think there either has to be a message (it eludes me), or there has to be a particular effect that you are looking for - pray tell, what?

It's a little too arcane for me.

Robert Lay,

Thanks for your input. It is valued.

There is no message (so don't wear yourself out looking for one). Nor was I trying for any particular effect other than creating in interesting image. The image is intended to be abstract so you can make of it what you will. Given that, what do you think?

I like the colors and the shapes.

Thanks.

p.s. Arcane is a cool word. Thanks for raising the level of discourse on this thread.

Did you read my comment in your other thread about photohosts? I really think you need to get one so your quality isn't comprimised. Intersting image. I think your abstract images would work better as a series.

350dinhand,

Yes, I read your comment about a photohost. Which ones do you recommend?

Thanks.

OK - when I look at the image the first thing that strikes me is that the bottom half is the shadow of the top half (even though that may not make sense). That being what I see, then I look for other things that strengthen that, and I see that the lower half has the signs of two sources of light, or at least a source of light that is large in comparison with the distance from the source to the saw teeth.

So, that's what I end up with - which is far better than a big fuzzy nothing!

Thanks for thinking. Does the image please you?
