In this one I purposefully gave it a lot of ground in front (I think that's called extra foreground?) because I thought it suited the shot more. I can try it cropped out if anyone thinks it'd look better...

personally, i would have done one of two things on the first one:

1) center the slide in the photo, making your son in the right hand third of the shot
2) zoom in much more to capture his face...expressions going down slides are priceless.

with the second one, the ground doesn't bother me if the slide is centered. just my two cents

Playgrounds are fun and full of color. These B&W's make me want to stay inside.

I agree w/ jbk....and your 1st pic looks really OOF.
