Early morning shot of the Alamo on 12/16/07.

- Crop out the street in front (or at least the concrete pole in the lower left...)
- Level the horizon (The Alamo is running down hill left)
- You did well to get enough exposure to see the Alamo, but unfortunately, the sky is blown out because of the backlighting.

Thanks for the comments. How does this one look?

Much better on points 1 and 2...

Now for a real challange. If you are able to go back down there again during the holiday season, try shooting (if they light the tree early enough each day) and see if you can balance the sky, the tree lights and any light in or on the Alamo itself. Got a tripod? Take it and be prepared to do some long-ish exposures.

Dont you hate how civility today has diminshed to the point where bollards are required to be placed in front of such photgraphic locations

Nice shot

If only it were due solely to a lack of civility...

Thanks for the words of advise! I'll try and get back down there this weekend and will take my tripod along this time. I forgot to take it out of the truck that morning, but will not on the next visit. Again thanks for the adivse. The ballards are just another sign of the times post 9-11. A Happy Holidays to all!:)
