I'm currently running a Canon 20d with 70-200L f4 and use it mostly for when I visit the Nurburgring in Germany to shoot motorsport and also in the uk shooting for www.takemypic.co.uk

Next year we are planning to take more photos in Germany on the tourist days and I've been umming and arring about what to upgrade.

I've thought about changing to a 1 series camera (1dmk1 or mk2) or do i invest in glass (a prime) or a tc 1.4x for the 70-200L...

WHat would you do..

Heres some photos of my last little outing..

I love my 20D, when I was ready to pull the trigger to buy a 40D I ended up buying a second 20D body. So if you are happy with the MP of the body, don't worry about that.

SO - if you are shooting professionally (or even semi-pro) and life would suck if you had a body go down, I would buy another Body. Otherwise...

I have the 70-200 IS f/2.8 and love it. If I were you I would sell the 70-200 f/4 and go for the 2.8 and make sure to get the IS. You can set the IS to stabilize the horizontal and vertical axis or just the vertical so you can pan and the IS only deals with up/down movement. It really is that sweet.

Plus the 2.8 may pull you out of some tight spots if you get a cloudy day, and you can always get a 2x TC and still have a 140-400 f/5.6 with IS. Or with the 20D's crop sensor, 225-640mm.
