Hi Guys!!

Please give me some hint on how can i restore my current canon powershot a10 firmware.
my previous firmware was 1.0.0.0..When a friend of mine told me that there's an update posted @ a canon site, paticularly the AF adjustment, I was able to load it successfully. It worked well...until i saw a link to a total firmware update for a10(1.0.0.0 - 1.0.0.2).The update finished successfully but when i turned my cam on, ready to take pictures, It hangs and captures the image shown in its viewfinder and stops there and crashes that forces me to remove the battery just to turn it off. The replay mode works though, so i am confident that i can still load a firmware that can override the existing. The problem is, if i reinstall the 1.0.0.2 firware the second time around, the camera won't allow it. it says "Already updated". Please help me..If you have a downgrade firmware or any solution that might work in my case..

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thank You in Advance!!!

try reapplying the same patch, If it won't let you, take it to a canon place and have them get the update working.

Thank You
I already sent my a10 to a service center. since it is under warranty still, they took it. I think it won't be covered by warranty since i modified its Firmware. My fear is that if they won't be able to repair it. I just bought a new cf card (256 mb) and gone paranoid coz i might be wasting my money for that unit.

But i know they can fix it. (I hope so). ;p

Thank You again.
