Take a look let me know what you think. Still learning. It looks a little out of focus to me???

Aperture: 20

Why do you include only the mantle and the top of the firebox and not the hearth floor itself? Leaves the whole mess hanging under a pile of rocks.

I think that most structures should have a base or foundation upon which they rest - just as you would include the horse's feet in a picture of a horse - yes?

I'm not just being facetious here. Composition is not an exact science. We have to give attention to every aspect of an image in order to realize its full potential. You may want to try providing a bit more foundation, just to see whether it is more or less appealing and interesting.

In the end you may not agree with me, but you will be better for thinking about it.

Second one is much better, imo. Just clone out the cord on the right and you'll be all set!

I agree about the second one being better, and about the cord.

Actually I would take all of the stuff off of the floor and by the fireplace and just leave the stuff on the mantle.
