Be as harsh as you want. I've been married for 14 years so I don't cry easily. Yes, I realize that I blurred my daughters head.

A rather lovely image. I really like it. About the blurring... I can see the boundry of the blur which bothers me a bit. I would try to feather the selection a bit more prior to apply blur. This should help with blending a bit more.

In any case, I like this image.

Yeah, it might be appropriate to also post the pre-blurred image for comparison. I'm not a fan of how you executed the blur here. Having said that, the composition and processing are both really nice.

I think there needs to be more contrast in the B&W.

My take on this is due to the fact that you have a lovely imaged well composed here that I think suffers from the blur effect so I decided to give you a look without it.

I desaturated the image, posterized somewhat and gave it a warming filter to it.
