I think they should be more generic, considering you're not specializing in glamor.

Good point - I wanted to create something that people would want to keep

Oh I'd keep those cards. ;) I might not call you up for commercial work though. Maybe. *shrug*

Maybe I will add model portfolio and fashion specifically

IMHO...as a business card, I don't like it. It's confusing. To clarify, look at this card from an impact point of view....remove all the text....what does this card mean to you now? Exactly...it looks like a card for a model. She is waay to prominent. You need to make the art second, and your name first. Everything on the card should be pointed towards you/company. Also, the font that "Ken Robertson" and "Photographer" is written in is a little hard to read quickly....I would change it. Just my .02

I agree with the above, maybe blend the model into the background a bit more..

If your business name is Ken Robertson Photography, shouldn't you include it somewhere on your card?

TFI - I appreciate it. The font I will look at. The reason I selected the image was for impact, so people would be more likely to retain. I will only ever be running a one man band and the art is the most important to me and the cash second

The name as a sole trader is 'Ken Robertson Photographer' it is not registered as a business and has to be stated this way in Australia.

Thanks

I like it... But I don't.

I'd like it as a post card or a web banner, but for a business card it just doesn't "feel" right ya know?

I think the first card as a photograph is amazing! Assuming there would be a bunch of info on the back, it's not bad, but I'll defer to the others' more-expert opinions!

What do you specialize in? If you get most of your business from HS photos, you should probably choose one of your best for that. However, I'm a huge believer in not using a photo on a business card. Sure, it looks good, but I think a simple card with a fantastic layout and font will beat a photo card any day. If you want people to keep them, make some of them magnetic. Maybe they'll stick the card on their fridge...

At one glance, people would think you're a glamour/portrait photographer and nothing else.

In my opinion you should replace the picture with something more generic, like a camera or a lens. ;)

make your info stand out more, im more drawn into the model then what you typed.

You want to make sure they see your name and remember it, and then can quickly read your contact info
