I was getting annoyed and impatient and thought a nice sit on the front deck would be nice. To my suprise USPS pulled up with a box.
First thing i did was take it out and test the shutter...boom 5 shots "whoops".
This thing ROCKS, i can tell already.[/i]

Everynody's getting cameras today and all I got was my 400 Prime.
Since that's not worthy of it's own post I'll just tag along with Timmy. :D :D :D
Timmy, where are the pictures?? Let's see what that baby can do!
(My camera is at home. No pics from the 400 until Sunday night. :-( )

I already do man, i can just feel the difference. I was in my front yard waiting for a bird to fly by, my mom opened the door to give me the phone, CLICK CLICK. Just like that, two shots perefectly exposed and tac sharp.
(out of respect for my mom i'm not gonna share them, you know how women are in the morning get-up's ;-) )
I can tell that it allows the photographer to photograph.

hehehe, totally understandable.
also with a body like that, you'll get into more venues than before, without even trying!
some people will try to play "smart" and just nodding their heads at you when you have a camera like that hanging around your neck. It happened to me two weeks ago at football ground, well, i had accreditation but didn't have time to pick up my badge, and they just smiled at me and let me into the ground! of course, i was dragging a big 400mm and a monopod ... but that's besides the point.

Since most of my "shoots" are at a highschool, my rebel was enough. I've experienced it. It's almost the same effect a police officer has.
"Hey look at that, something important...let me bend over backwards to help you"

The reason i wasnt gonna ship it 'till tomorrow is that i wasnt sure if i'd be comfy enough with the 1D yet so i wanted to bring it along just in case (to tonights football game).
As it stand right now i'm gonna pack it up and ship it out to ya tonight.

Congratulations on the new toy.

Not a problem. I have enough cameras to keep me busy. I really like the fact you have bestbuy protection plan. It should make me worry-free for 2-3 years. And hopefully I can exchange to the newest and lastest if the Rebel does decide to dead on me.

Yeah, that was one of the sales pitches the guy gave me when talking me into the plan is that it should help with the resale value. In retrospect i should have given that thought some more respect.
Anyways i'm off to the post office then to my ladies for a while (she still hasnt seen the new beast) then off to the game!.
I cant wait :-)

Timmy congrats, I am so jelous................
I want one, but the price has gone up about about 500us which is like what 10,000 canadian? since I decided to get one. I had to settle with a 10D + grip and use a black marker to color the 0 out of the 10 hahaha.
Congrats again, that is a "cool" camera.

I do indeed have money to burn, i guess i should be saving it but what is the fun in that.
I make $10 an hour at 18, school is paid for, and other then that i have an insurence bill and a truck payment.
I figure i should buy my toys now because when i get older i'll have other things to take care of.
BTW persian, i bought a used 1D not a 1DMKII. That i can not afford, but like i told the guy i bought my camera from "Maybe we can do it again in a few years"
