I run local online news paper and I am looking for a great lens to shoot basketball and other sports inside plus photos shots of people for my paper and news stories in general. I currently have a Canon 20d with Tamron 17-50 2.8 lens and the Canon 100-400 l with IS lens. I still have and older Canon 70-210 3.5-4.5 I used on My film camera.

Jurnalims = Journalism?
Find a used 70-200 2.8 L IS and you'll be fine. Up your iso and don't worry about noise, shoot to the right.

lol, I hope you aren't the editor...unless you're throwing around some hip insider slang that we don't know about! :D;)
Cos is right...but get the 85 1.8 if you're broke and can't afford the 70-200 2.8IS.

bacchanal is right too. I was thinking the 85 1.8 as well. Both lenses that I own and love.

Don't forget to pick up a second digital body. A 35L would also be handy.

Like others...70-200L/2.8IS and/or 85/1.8
Please tell me that you're the photographer and not the lead writer/editor :rolleyes: Next time, at least do a spell check. Sorry, but that's just plain awful.
