I like it, but I'd like to make it better. Any thoughts? This is un-retouched.

I was taking some low-light photos just before of a deer in deep shadow and forgot to reset the ISO setting apparently :lol:

maybe if you moved yourself to the left a bit whe taking the shot, the tree wouldn't have obstructed the dome section that little bit. I like the image a lot, but that little thing bugs a tiny bit. I never know if it's ok to offer comment on positioning, once the shot has already been taken?

No, it's fine to suggest postitioning changes after the fact. I'll keep it in mind for next time. I was concentrating on how the light was hitting the dome and my lens. The sun and vantage point was a little limiting for this shot. I was also going for the hich-tech geometry juxtaposed on the natural surrounding. Not an excuse, just what I had in mind.

Thoughts:
- I really like the coulours. The tower blends from white to blue, as does the sky. The effect is very complementary.

- I find all the trees rather distracting because IMO they distract from the simplicity of the colour contrasts. Perhaps you should add an axe to your photography kit 8)

The techincal aspects of the photo appear to be about the best you can get, with the observation you made that the ISO could have been reduced for better pixel level image quality. But at this resolution, it looks OK.

The picture seems to be "weighted" to the left with the large tree in the center and the observatory on the left side. Did you try any shots from a position to the left? Maybe that would have been shooting to much into the sun. Just a thought that it would have created a better balanced image if the big tree were separated more from the observatory.
