What are your thoughts on this image? Good, bad, indifferent, suggestions? I'm not looking for praise, just an opportunity to grow and view my shots through new eyes. Hopefully your comments will help me to improve.
This was taken high above treeline in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

Oh, come now. Someone has to have some suggestions for improving this? How about the crop? Should I have cut more off of the left side? Should I have moved down to better frame the mountain? Any reasonable suggestions would certainly be appreciated!

Hmmm...
I would like to see the right more. It looks like the mountains are to the right and that is what I really like in this picture.
I really don't like you  , you can just run up to the mountains and take pics while I have to drive over Kansas. I hate Kansas.

I understand your jealousy. I lived for 12 years in very remote parts of the world with little electricity, water and certainly no scenic view. We are taking two years out to recover before we head back.
I didnt' include the mountains to the right as there was not enough light on them. They were just dark grey. Perhaps it would have worked.?

I imagine the perfect shot woul be as such: mountains in background up higher over entire ridge of foreground. Also, that shadowed area in center of foreground blends too much with background. But that's just me!

I like the crop, but the dark shadowy area in the center bothers me. It keeps drawing my eyes there.

I understand your jealousy.
I made the mistake of being raised in Colorado...and then moving away.
Now I hate moutain pictures....cause it just hurts.
Seriously, nice shot. Did you shot it in RAW? If so, have you considered creating a couple different images and merging them together to grab some of the lost shadows??
