I'm guessing Spectre is having a little fun with the Air Force.
Thundercluckers = Thunderbirds (with a little chicken twist...)
Spent a little time in the AC130? :)

March for the cluckers. I have never seen an airshow at March. They have a great museum on the west side of the field.
Miramar of course for the Blues. Semper Fi
Lets not forget Chino, Planes of Fame. They put on a great show.

All of those are great shows!
I am from San Diego and I miss how many great shows are just a few hours drive from eachother...I used to go to about 6 or 7 shows a year!
The last time I was at March, they were still restoring that P-38. That A-9 was cool to see as well.

Thanks for posting. I will probably be going to the Thunderbirds in Wilmington, NC on April 19-20 and going to see the Angels on June 7-8 at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C.
I see you are going to see the Thunderbirds in Charleston. My daughter's birthday is the 25th so I won't be able to go that weekend, hence me going to Wilmington the week before.

Actually I forgot that we planned on attending the Sept. 20-21 NAS Oceana, Va. show so I might be going to three events.
You know though, this kinda sucks. Every event in my area coresponds with an important date for my family.
April 25 is my daughter's birthday so the show in Charleston is out.
June 8 is my anniversary so the show in Cherry Point might be out.
Sep 22 is my wife's birthday so the Oceana show might be out.
DAMN! :evil::evil:

Bummer, I do not see anything in Indiana this year. There are a couple open dates though so I will keep my fingers crossed something comes up. If not I will have to venture to Ohio or Illinois.

Maybe\Hopefully... This is the closest one to where I live, and it's still about a 1-2 hour drive, would love to go, guess I'll mark it on my calendar and beg my parents to go when it gets closer (maybe even stop by the San Diego zoo)
I would absolutely LOVE to go to the Oct. 11-12 show (San Fransisco) I have always wanted to go to San Fran, but it is just such a long drive,

Wow this sucks, both of them are showing on the same weekend for me. I guess I could go see the TB on the first day and then head to Maine after the show to see the Angels on the second day. That's a lot of driving to do after getting up early and being out in the sun all day, but I do love seeing the Blues.

Miramar is the best show in the area. Last year we went to the air show then the zoo.
There is an air show at March AFB in Riverside this weekend.

I'll see the Blues at Oceana this year.
The T-Birds will NOT be at Langley in Hampton this year. The RAF Red Arrows will be headlining at Langley this year. Also, the Langley show is in June this year, much later than usual.

If you are in the area, check out the airshow at the old Millville Army Airfield in Southern NJ. Over the years I have seen everything from the last flying B-29 to F-16s, Thunderbirds, Blue Angles, Warthogs, P-51s, C-130s, classic cars, Golden Knights and their JATO powered C-130, plus many more great sights.

I know that the "Blue-Plane-Group" and the "Chicken-Littles" will not be there but is anyone going to the Dayton Air show July 19-20? The F-104 Starfighters http://www.starfighters.net/ will be performing there...
Plus, they offer flight-line photo passes (whatever the hell that means and wherever the hell they place you...anyone know?)
I wouldn't want the photo tour...but I think you have to buy that to have the option to buy the flight-line photo pass...
It would be nice not to get heads, large speakers and plane tails in half my shots...

Sunday I will be heading to Huntsville, AL for their show...looks kinda small, so it will be nice.
Then in October, Wings over Marietta in Georgia...
I hope for a couple more in between but I had to cancel two due to other obligations...
