That was intentional, to draw attention to her eyes.Yes she does have pretty eyes. :) She gets them from her mother.

Sort of a strange picture however it sure does attract attention to her eyes. I would do something about the lower right corner and in the future if the flash wasn't so direct (maybe bounce flash) her face wouldn't be so flat and the distracting shadow wouldn't be there. Do you have a picture of the rest of her? She is so cute.

Congradulations on a very pretty daughter, I do agree with ijohnson that the flash is a little harsh.

Jimjam,

she certainly is cute!
I like the second shot better, because you see more of her.

What focal length did you use?
I have the impression that the image might benefit from a longer focal length.

Best regards,
Andy

I love the picture. I have shot some simular and end up with a lot of shadow behind the subject as this has. I didn't realize it until a critic pointed it out. What's the best way to remove the shadow? Use the outline tool and try to match the color of the background the best you can?

I like the second photo better. While the first might be more artistic I enjoy photos that show a person's personality.

And the goofy kids usually make very interesting subjects!
