I am trying to setup a corner of the basement for flowers and macro photography. The space is around 10 x 10 x 8. I recently bought the Interfit EXD200 kit. The kit is beautiful but I have little ambient light to shoot with.

That being said, what do you recommend in term of ambient light to light up the corner. I tried the Home Depot 500w work light, but that blew the circuit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Otherwise, you're going to have one heck of a time trying to work.

If you're shooting flowers and macro stuff, you don't need a lot of light. You just need a good tripod to allow for moderately long exposures.

Another option is hotshoe flash units and a light tent. This thread should provide some insights.
