Deleting in Canon ZoomBrowser EX

Please Help!
When Deleting photos from folders- the program would hang! So, I decided to create a deleted folder and then I could periodically delete on mass! (good plan huh!) now I have a huge folder of images I don't want and I cannot delete them. I tried to delete through explorer and now I have a folder full of thumbnails that the Canon doesn't seem to know are there! As a result I can't backup anything!!! Have tried removing complet folder and it will not go! Can anyone think of a fix please?

In Zoombrowser, click 'View' and 'Refresh current library'. This updates the folders to account for any files that have been deleted, renamed in another programme, or added to the folder outside the Zoombrowser programme. That should do the trick unless I misunderstand the problem.
