We've published our article about the 147th FW of the Texas ANG, based at Ellington Field (http://www.fencecheck.com/news/Ace_in_the_Hole_-_The_147th_Fighter_Wing/). It was a great privilege to be able to shoot the Ace in the Hole Vipers. I'd like to personally thank Maj. Dansereau and Kevin Jackson for inviting me along.

Yes, it was amazing. It was my first Air2Air shoot, we were flying in a KC-135 of the Tennessee ANG. The windows were in very good shape, so most shots came out pretty sharp.
I was shooting with a Canon 1D MKII and a 28-105 lens.

That's a very nice shot! Too big, though: IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow pics 800 pixels or smaller. You can always just post a link to them, though.

Great shots. You were lucky with the clean windows I know the boom operator window is a lot cleaner. When I flew on a KC-10 to Alaska and to Las Vegas the windows on the door didn't have great visiblity and were very hazy. The boom operator window had a really good view though. I got to watch the F-22's position themselves and get refueled. Still have yet to fly on a KC-135 though.
