WOW!!!! man maybe i should get on of those 100mm macros, as many macros as i take. how close can you get to a subect with one of those?

Nope. It looks like processing 'junk' on the lower part of the flower but it's only pollen. It's obvious and actually pretty good looking on the original large picture.

how close can you get to a subect with one of those?
I was mostly about 4-5 inches (from the end of my lens with the hood attached). I found this gives some good results, although I think I could go even closer.
