Aloha!
We had a small Honolulu POTN meet in downtown Honolulu. The event is called Honolulu City Lights. Post 'um up!

Xmas trees and palm trees. What a perfect combination. Beats the stuffings out of snow. Lovely pics.

Luis - I plan to go there again of Sunday with my gang. It is located at the Honolulu Municipal Building. Just drive along King Street downtown.

Great series of shots. You did well for the exposure on all the shots, and you made Christmas look nice and warm instead of icy and cold here.

Great series of shots. You did well for the exposure on all the shots, and you made Christmas look nice and warm instead of icy and cold here.

That is an amazing tree, how did you get that exposure? I've been messing with night time pictures and I can't seem to get the exposure right. At first i was underexposing to bring out the lights and then I tried overexposing by one notch. It still doesn't come out right. I noticed your flash was fired.

Which photo are you referring to? I shoot manual with different shutter speeds, then adjust with the recovery slider and add some black in Lightroom.

I was talking in general about all your pictures but I noticed the biggest difference, you are shooting in ISO 100 and I am shooting in 1600 for night time pictures. That might be why my lights are coming out really ugly =(

Just found this thread. POTN in Honolulu! I visit Hawaii about once a year. Nice to see some familiar shots.
