Well, not an actual "Lease" program ;). Just a realization that for those who are dumping their 10D to get a 20D, you've effectively been 'leasing' your 10D.
10D w/Grip = $1,650.00 (new)
10D w/Grip = $ 800.00 (1yr old & likely w/a CF card, battery or other)
$850.00 spread over 12 months = $70.83 per month.
If you don't make money with your gear or are unable to place a personal 'value' on the output/learning/time you've had your 10D, you're essentially buying your 20D for $2,500.00. Considering that in another year there'll be a compelling reason to ride this train again; you'd have likely had the funding saved for a new 1 series; instead you're again selling a year old 'Pro-sumer' (sorry, I dislike that term too) to buy another 'Pro-sumer'.
There are a lot of flaws in the argument above. I just think it's an interesting issue to propose.
