I have been shooting some little league games and some of the parents have been asking me for prints. I would like to setup a site where I can post the picture and allow them to order prints. I am a web developer but I really don't have the time to develop this right now. Is there a site that provides this type of service? Preferrably one that allows them to pay me using my Paypal account.

Thanks,
Ovi

There are lots to choose from. I use printroom.com. They send you a check at the end of the month.

I use artbeacon.com (http://www.artbeacon.com) with a lot of success. I'd highly recommend checking them out. You can also see my personal section on artbeacon in the link in my sig.

Most of these places seem to sell their printing services. I would like to find a place where I can just host the pictures and take the orders so I can do my own printing locally.

Breezebrowser will generate the HTML for a web page for ordering prints. Since you're a web developer you should be able to tweak the template code to your liking. Here's the link to the template example page:

Click on the Ordering or Paypal examples.

I have not tried this myself but it might be worth looking into. I have been lurking in the forum and it seems light a good group.

Breezebrowser is definitely an option I'll explore. The outdooreyes gallery is almost exactly what I want except they only allow 30 images at a time. Any others?

Art Beacon doesn't sell their print services. They just alert you when you've got an order and you handle the printing, shipping, etc.

I have just signed up with www.shutterpoint.com. Hoping to get some sells off their site. They charge 15% commission on commercial agreement. You may want to check that out.

Boosting1Bar, Art Beacon seems to be a cool site. You mentioned that you have had some success selling your photos. How long have you been with them, and how many have you sold - if I may ask? I wish I had waited few days before signing up with Shutterpoint.com.

Boosting,

Do you know if they sell additional storage beyond the 25 MB?

I've been with them for about 5 months and I usually sell a couple a week. Doesn't sound like a lot, but considering I don't actively promote it and I only have 7 or 8 shots on there, it's pretty good.

Generally when you upload your pics they reduce them in size/quality to prevent someone just downloading it that way and printing it themself. I spoke with the owner a while back and he told me the 25mb will allow you to host 166 images (give or take a little), above that it's $10 for each additional 25mb.

Is a pro account required to sell photos?

Well, I think I am going with Breezebrowser to generate my files and I'll put them on my own site which I have a couple of. With Breezebrowser I can customize the templates to have the look and feel of my site.

Thanks to Dtrayers for the suggestion.
