Due to not wanting someone to "borrow" your images, do you post your best images?

I'm saving my best images of where I live for my future book, so tend not to, but post everything else. But as long as you make the images "unborrowable" then why not post them up for all to see.

I don't really care if people borrow my images. In fact, I take it as a compliment since they're usually being borrowed for MySpace or other "must show all my friends" type places. Obviously I'm not shooting for pay though.

I found out that kids were taking my sports photos of them and using them on My Space and Face Book. I offered to give them ones without my name across them, for free. I look at it this way, Since their parents have bought prints from me, why not give a little extra to the kids. However I wouldn't be happy if I had a landscape shot stolen or saw any of my shots in print unless sold and would pursue the matter.

Ditto here. I do not post my best in any gallery any longer. Only the ones that I think might be good but for one reason or another I evaluate as being unmarketable. /Dan
