I just spent $2200 on a camera, most of which was a loan from a family friend, of which i will have to write a $750 check on next week.

Today i spent $120 at newegg most of which went towards a 1gig memory card

And i was just browsing ebay...and bought a 2xTCON for 175...

You know what this means?

All the money i make is going towards camera gear!

Timmy,

fear not!

There is help.
you can be cured from this awful addiction.

For starters, you might ship your 1D and 70-200/2.8 to me  .
I will keep it well for you, so that you can go though the different stages of de-toxication.

Just PM me, I'll tell you my address!

Best regards,
Andy

treehouse is a brilliant idea, or we can form a photo agency and put all our photos together, i'm sure that'll make them sell!

Just wondering timmy, why'd you get the 2x TC? I heard they arent all that good.

BTW I know how you feel, I dont have a penny of my last 4 paychecks. Nor the money I got from selling my slicks, half my engine mods and all my detailing equipment.

Jeezus this is expensive

I've heard that they are not as good as the 1.4's, i eventually intend on having both but i found a good price on the 2xTCON so i picked it up.

Kind of makes me glad I decided not to grab the Rebel quite yet and went with the S60 in the meantime.

I'll be modifying a Jeep soon, so that will take some of my spending cash for a while :D

I'll have that EOS eventually.

I thought the discussion was about teleconverters, not cables.

Do you ever quit? My lord...

I figure if i start a thread in general chat i can talk about whatever i want...even if it's about pink pigs with cute little tails.

Hi Timmy,

A warm and hearty welcome from all at EOSAddicts Anonymous. Congratulations! You are already half way to solving your tortures by having admitted that you have a problem. [Most members are still yet to reach this crucial stage].
We look forward to your involvement in our group discussions, which are detailed in the attached timetable. In the meantime however our staff and members (and their families and close ones ) have put together some pointers to help you through those tough days when you feel you have nowhere to turn.
Firstly, put down that magazine you've been looking at all week. Do you realise that that magazine has actually had more of your attention recently than your beloved girlfriend? Shame on you! Go make her a lovely cup of tea, or a coffee or a cocoa or something.
Now then, those websites.... you know the ones.
No, not those ones, we mean the shopping ones and the review sites.
bad bad bad! Have you noticed that it was just breaking light when you first logged on and now you can see stars outside? Have you actually eaten today? Log off! Go downstairs and cook a lovely meal for yourself and your girlfriend! Okay, so it may be 4am but don't forget she's barely seen you for days - it'll be a nice surprise. If your girlfriend doesn't quite see it that way she'll soon let you know... and it's actually much easier to sleep when you see stars everywhere you look...
Now as for your equipment talking to you... You may think this is normal but it is not. Your camera cries out for new lenses and accessories, but you shall have the strength to triumph over these cries. There is only one way... all of your equipment must be sent to us for spiritual cleansing. Please see enclosed note for postal address. Worry not about postage costs! - we'll cover all expenses.

We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Hello, I'm an L-coholic

It's only a problem if you believe it is, until then call it extended equipment research. I spend most of my money on cameras, lenses and interesting doodads to fit on my tripod. The rest of the money I waste on food, drink and clothing.

There is nothing wrong with being poor and hungry so long as you are artistically satisfied and gear heavy

He (or she) who dies with the most toys wins... race you!

All the best

BearSummer
