Excellent use of DOF, that nifty fifty really is a great performer. Good shot and concept. Nudge the subject a bit to the left though and the composition will satisfy the rule of thirds. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the encouragement folk's. I kinda like it too. I've been itching to get out and do a shoot somewhere but havent had the time so i picked up the camera and wandered around the house. Our place is kinda old as you can see, but its got character haha.

Love it! I wouldn't mind even more grit- but then, I always go towards grittiness/rawness when it comes to inanimate objects for some reason, especially if they are alone. Great shot!
