I am trying to remote shoot my XT with my laptop. I am running Vista, and have downloaded all of the most recent updates for Zoom Browser, EOS Utility, and WIA driver. Just to clarify before hand I always use a card reader to download images.
The problem begins in Zoom Browser. If I connect the camera directly to my PC, auto play will start and I can use all the windows options. If I then go into ZB and try to acquire images directly it says there is no images to download to the memory card. If I connect with my card reader and use ZB to acquire images everything works fine.
The next problem is when I directly access EOS Utility and select the "Camera settings/Remote shooting" tab it tells me, "To use this function, set the [communication] of the camera to [PC connection] and reconnect." The weird thing is that in EU it allows me to view and download images directly through the camera.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
