View Full Version : St Louis, MO and surrounding area forum

A few other CDP members and myself thought it would be a good idea to start a forum for our area. It is intended to be used for talking about local events and coordinating outings. Currently, to my knowledge, St. Louis has no public photography forums. The site is about a week old and probably needs a little tweaking but it is up and running.

Because it is so new it may go through some changes until we decide that it does everything we want it to. I welcome anyone to join and help work out the bugs.

Cheers,
Matt Murphy

Maybe your opening banner should be a shot of the Arch.

It's a shame we don't have anything like that in my area...

Oh wait, I'm a web designer, photographer, and programmer, and own a hosting company...

Hmmm :D

I thought about that... I need to either take one myself or ask one of the other 4 members if they have one to contribute. I would just use one from the web but I don't think it is acceptable to use other peoples photos without their permission.

Yeah I am with Eric lets go take some new photos of the arch for the forum. Great excuse to go shoot... :D

Eric's photo is tasteful and rather photojournalistically accurate. The barge on the river is sensible.

On the other hand, maybe you can find a similar shot with dramatic lighting in the sky.

I can't think of much else that would represent St. Louis better. Maybe the Busch plant?

How about a picture of Georgia Frontiere?

Belmondo, does your sig line go with the message, or are they independent thoughts?

Unrelated but apt. Good eyes, Bob.

That would give us something to look forward to next time the St. Louis team is playing in Palm Springs.

Different leagues, I guess.

Took a look at the forum today. Looks good. I live in St. Charles and am afraid if I join your forum I'll waste even more time goofing around with this photography thing, more then I already do. For now I'll lurk. Good luck.

I believe I got this particular one on phpbb.com but it may be available on other sites. You can find a ton of templates here http://www.phpbbhacks.com/templates.php.

The forum looks to be slowly taking form.
