Onecall comes through on 20D!

Spoke with my sales guy at Onecall today. I was something like number 34 on the list, but they received enough from Canon to fulfill my order and will be upgrading the shipping to FedEx next day for free!

It should be here Wednesday. Oh joyous week! Just in time for the airshow this weekend :)

Anyone else reserve through onecall? If you were less than number 40 (I think he said) you'll have your camera this week!

Just got the e-mail from Onecall.com - 'Your order has shipped' Whoo hoo! It'll be here by Wednesday. Maybe even tomorrow? I hope not I need to get some sleep tonight ;)

I even sold the DRebel and battery grip for a fair price. Bring on the AI Servo in creative modes!

I just called OneCall and asked to be put on the list. They took my info and told me they'd let me know when the camera was in. I was like #32-34 on the list and I guess they got more than that from Canon. So today I get an e-mail from them with the FedEx number. Free upgrade to next day priority. It'll be here at 10:30 am tomorrow or before. Ohhhh yeah!

So why does this Onecall place have 20D's and B&H doesnt? I finally get B&H to accept my pre-order today and they are telling me by the end of the month...maybe. I placed a nearly $3000 order with them today and they cant even tell me where I am on the list. I think I am going to have to rethink buying from B&H next time.

A coworker also got the call today that he would have his 20D this week. He ordered from a smaller place in California.

B&H is a good company, but you are probably about 6 miles down on the list, because everybody else buys from them too. That's why your wait will probably be a bit longer.

Give onecall.com a call and see what their list looks like. You can always cancel with B&H. They are offering free shipping upgrades with new orders to next day priority and they've really been great. The price is the same as everyone else.

:) I to odered through Onecall.com. They are supposedly the largest Authorized Canon dealer on the west coast. Best of all they do NOT charge your CC until shipment occurs unlike B&H and some others mentioned here. I placed my preorder the day after the annoucement and was 30th on the list. My 20D body shipped today for overnight delivery on Tuesday 9/14 for $1503. OneCall has a club that gives a 1% discount for the asking and even more if you use their OneCall.com Credit Card. They also are Audio specialist and run specials every month or so. Best of all they are authorized dealers, no pressure sales, and, with reasonable prices. I would highly recommend them.
