Car shade reflector.

Hi. Any one using those car shades that has silver reflective surface as reflector? Hows the quality like?

Photographically, they work fine.
Outdoors, they don't hold their shape in the wind very well.
Worth the money, but not as robust or versatile as one designed for photography.

If I was travelling, and my reflector somehow got lost or damaged, the first place I'd look would probably be an auto parts store to pick up one of those car reflectors just to get me through in a pinch. I don't think it's a substitute for the 72" Larson reflectors I love, but for a few bucks, I bet it would work just fine. :)
