Dose This Work? Help!

Hi All!

I need some advise! The new cook at my work place just got a John Deer tractor for Christmas. Anyhow he wants me to take a few shots for him. He wants some sepia/B&W's.

Heres a test shot I did....dose this tone work?

Hes wanting a high contrast look. however this has some blown out spots.

Also I'm thinking the photo need to be more brown.

I think the 1st one shows better details of the tractor. Some of them are hidden in the shadows. Maybe that is what he like better. Hope you don't mind I applied shadows/ highlights and this is kind of a compromise of the 2. I will remove pic if you want me to.

Thank you!!! No need to take it down. This one right here is my 1939 AC...his is a John Deer thats about 7 feet tall to the hood. I hope to shot his in the Golden Hour also.
