2007 AVP Womens Final in Sacramento, CA. 120 degrees on the sand.

These were from the players' box, so distance was an issue with only a 150mm lens...

Kerry Walsh and Misty May won the final (was there any doubt?)

Hi, so far see myself as an amatures amature. this was a shot i took 05/08/07 at a local Motor-X event. this was 1 in about a 10 shot sequence that i took. there were some offical togs there, but from what i saw, i was the only one looking this way at this time!! dont think anyone else caught the crash.

I do not yet have any (at all) PP skills, so I shoot RAW so that if i get any good at it, i can play with the pics. i really like this shot but not sure if anything i can do so the colours pop more. like i say, still very early in my learning curve, and still deciding on a few lenses.

I shoot quite a bit of hockey, so I will post several of the goalie trying to make a save. 1st shot Jamie Mclennan of the Calgary Flames, was beaten on this shot and the crowd has not even reacted yet... 2nd shot Boston Bruins netminder Tim Thomas makes a toe save and several fans are not even paying attention. Anybody who shoots with strobes knows that you only have a split second to capture that shot. The strobes need about 1-2 seconds to cycle.

Maybe not my best shots, but they were the last of the year. Shot 30 Dec 07. I have two nephews on the Salem (blue) team. Here's a shot of each.

Nephew one... This kid is an exceptional defenseman. Total concentration on the game. He railed this kid from out of no where, killing the play. The puck is over his right glove.

yes it can! If you know the atlete of the photo, you can ask him if he can give you contacts of Marketing Director os something. You must move, cause they dont guess you have that photo.. (but i dont know if they would like the photo published here first.. :s)
The best to do is talk with the athlete.

The "athlete" is a buddy of mine and to be honest, he sucks at BMX, the photo just appears more spectacular than it really is. Not to mention that the ramp is like one meter high. He also fell and hurt himself right after the shot.
So I doubt he can get any sponsor deals:P
So my best plan would be to sell the photo to Vans but I doubt they're interested.

I'm interested in what happens with Vans. Do you intend to try to sell it, if not would you consider letting somebody else sell it for you? Please keep us posted.
IMHO - I think it is a really cool shot and certainly warrants the time and effort to market to Vans.

Are you asking about my shot? My settings were 1/400th, f/2.8, ISO 3200, using the 70-200 2.8L non-IS on my 1d Mark II, using AI servo of course. I used high speed drive, but that shot was the first frame from the burst. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

This was my favorite shot of the year in sports, because it is of a young man that plays with all his heart on each and every play. This was the only win of the year for the Knights and Chris just let out all of his emotions after the game! It was shot under poor lighting with my Canon xti at 1600 ISO with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens doing all the work as usual! It is noisy....but I can live with it. Hope you all like it.
