Hi All,

This is my first attempt with HDR image. 5 images with +2,+1,-1,-2 and 0 were used.
All the images were handheld.

Please give me serious critisim and comments for my attempt.
Let me know how can I improve my post-processing.

Thanks,

Avi

Hi Avin - Happy Christmas from UK!

I like it - it's a striking image. From a composition point of view, I'd crop the bottom third of the picture and the right quarter, to lose the sun, which I find detracts from the overall mood of the image. Also, IMHO, the horizon needs straightened. Otherwise a great image. :)

Straightening would help. You can also use levels layer to increase contrast a bit if you'd like.

Thanks grumpyhaggis - Merry christmas,
Thanks for looking...
I understood what you mean. I'll make the changes and re-upload.

Thanks for the comments. I thought of straightening earlier...but then I was so excited at my attempt that I forgot to do that...

Will straighten the horizon today and will re-upload...thanks for looking...

Here's a tweaked version, if you don't mind:

Also, for being handheld HDR shots, they came out awfully well. Nice work.

Ninja Edit: I just noticed that the horizon in my tweak may still be a mite off. Also, I really like the sun in the picture. Just my $0.02.

i have just noticed that CS2 has a HDR tab, has anyone made a HDR through CS2?

is it satisfactory or should I use someother program?

I've gotten good results with CS2 as well.
