not to be a party pooper, but why do people care about all these rumors? They are not coming from reliable sources and in my opinion, it looks like people are just making stuff up based on their fantasies. no one knows when the camera's/lenses are going to be released either.

There are fewer photographers than gearheads.

Because this place is full of gearheads and they like to dream about something bigger and/or better than they have or can afford.

And it's fun guessing ;)

The new 5.4D will be pink and have blue feather weathersealing technology - (water runs right off - just like with birds). It will have an indentation next to the lcd screen to aid photographers with big noses.
Anyone else?

No wait! It'll have a gravity button to make it weightless... and and and...a detachable lightsabre like in star wars and and

I believe that it will have adjustable mass - just hold down the print button and turn the rear dial until it feels "right". :)

I wondered when they would find a use for that button:)

B/C this is what gearheaded forum trolls do for fun.

There is nothing wrong with rumors expecially when they are in part based on fact or a camera makers production cycle. The rumors of many of the camera are based on a employee leak or the manufacturer's production timeline for that particular camera model or series. These are in part facts.

The owner, eh? You mean all the gazillion Canon stock owners? You know, it being a publicly traded company and all.

A friend of mine, who just happens to work in Canon's R&D, leaked some very interesting info on the new body releases. I would mention it here, but this would be fact based and not "rumor". So posting here would be in the wrong forum and against POTN rules. Sorry everyone.

Hope this doesn't start any rumors???

Why do people care? Cause it is just communication nothing more..nothing less.... I don't know about you but my day is filled with "non-productive" interaction related to various topics .. so why not talk about something that we are all interested in?

Same reason we read this thread.
