I'm not sure if this is the correct forum and I know how most "Noobz" are regarded on forums.. so try to deal with me .
Not a complete stranger to photography, I've been using canon point and shoots for a couple of years now, but with an upcoming study-abroad opportunity I decided it was time to finally invest in a "real" camera.
After having a nightmare with 1wayphoto.com and their antics - I thought I was going to be able to afford a Rebel XTi; however as with most internet scams the price was too good to be true, so low and behold i am the owner of a shiny new (with all accesories ) Canon Rebel XT.
I came across this forum last night and was surprised by the number of helpful information and threads, and am confident that the XT is still going to be worlds more of a camera then I will ever use.
I'll most likely spend the next few days reading through some sticky's, but wanted to introduce myself! (or kill time while my battery pack charges )
