photo shoot

My friend has done some clothing design. We are going to model the clothing. The model has a fair complexion and almost white blond hair. The shoot will be out side.

My question is, in the past when taking photos of friends with blonde hair often parts of the hair whites out even when the rest of the shot seems balanced. Even trying to correct this in Photoshop I have been unsuccessful. Any tips how to best approach this shoot would be appreciated.

A big umbrella to keep direct sunlight off her hair. :D

You might want to mention the type of camera equipment you are using, and the metering mode.

Then you could try exposure compensation. About +1.
