Cool composition. I like the shapes the stairs make against the sky. I think black and white is perfect for this.
So does IR photography give you more shadow detail? It almost looks like HDR. I usually am not a fan of HDR either but this looks good.

Great photo I think the B&W bring out certain details, like how weathered it is.

thanks very much, the shapes against the sky caught my attention and yes IR does produce detail like this....HDR if done as it was intended is really just capturing as much available detail as possible. Sometimes I do like the more tonemapped look to images.

thanks....if I'd had a larger zoom with me I would have taken a few close up detail shots, this thing is very weathered indeed....here's another view...

The first shot is pretty good, but this second one, wow... I love the detail and the color. Really nice!!

I like both Roger - in the first one, the placement of the clouds add a highly interesting counterpoint to an industrially artistic work. I like the gritty color casted effect of the second one.

thanks bryan, the combination of IR, the light and the rust gave me several good images of this subject....last one is below.

Love the second picture the colour tone is just great.
Tried a Coopers Pale Ale for the first time today. Not so much punch 4.5% rather than 5.8%. Taste very much the same and has the sediment just the same as the Sparkling.
EDIT The Pale Ale was on your recommendation.

thanks Khall glad you like the pic and sorry the Ale isn't as strong as you like lol...I used to drink the sparkling ale, but I can enjoy drinking more of the pale ale due to the lower strength :D....as much as I like the Germanic style beers here I am still looking forward to a Coopers when I get back for a visit.

Nice shots Roger, especially the second one. Really interesting structure. I wonder what its history is.
