I was lucky this Christmas because as well as a new 40D, I got a new guitar (from me to me). Anyhow, I just wanted to share a shot of one taken with the other. I quite like the mellow feel of this and the oof hi-lights.
I should have straightened the capo I know!

Congrats on both, nice photograph from your 135mm lens. I am starting to think that camera's and guitars are for therapy and continuing education. I don't think one can ever learn it all. The ones who pick one area and stick with it seem to shine, I don't seem to be one of those. I want to just keep looking and learning on both the camera and the guitar.

I think it is a good shot, but could be a much more appealing shot if the focus point was different. It looks to me like the focus is on the first little fret bar. If the focus were on a more interesting detail of the guitar, like one of the inlays on neck, then this shot be fantastic. Keep it up!!

My sentiments exactly as I do tend to dabble with several things, mainly guitar and photography though.

I like the shot. Probably would like it better with the capo off but I like how the focus in dead on the first fret.

Shirley, the more I look at it the less I like the capo in the shot! I guess you could call it a candid still life that went wrong:)

Gibson MK35?
I had one of those about 25 years ago.
I agree with a previous comment: remove the capo from the first shot...

I really wish it was a Gibson! It's a Yamaha APX900!

Man, it's a dead ringer for the MK35 I used to have.
But, be glad it's a Yamaha. The Gibson MK35 was a horrible guitar...
