I have read allot about all the different filters, and what they do,
So I have made myself a short list of 2 or 3 filters that I need\want. But I would just like to know what good brands are!

-ND Grad Filter (I want that square piece of glass, with the adapter ring sizes 58mm and 52mm, not sure if this is the right name... I want the filter that is black and clear and fades from one to the other (So I can make the sky dark, and land normal)

-Polarizer or Circular Polarizer (Not sure what the difference is, I will be using it for landscape and macro photography, so you tell me which to get!)

I want 58mm circular\polarizer, and 58mm + 52mm adapter for a square\rectangular ND Grad filter, I also need a 52mm to 58mm step-up ring (So I can use my 58mm filters on my 50mm lens (52mm filter size))
I don't want the absolute top of the line stuff, but I don't want pieces of crap, I want something good and cheap

Please post B&H links to the filters you suggest.

EDIT: I have heard good things about B+W filters, so I found there ND Grad filter: 58mm Graduated Neutral Density Gray 502 Filter
$54.95 on B&H,
But I don't think this is the rectangle\square glass with adapters

After looking, they are all over $150-$400!!
That's a bit much!
If this is really how much they cost, then never mind... I just need a polarizer

Holy crap, circular polarizers are also $100-$300!! at B&H

At ritz, I am looking at a 58mm quantaray circular polarizer for $31.99....

You might want to take a look at hvstar.net. Same filters but less expensive.

ND Grads - [url=http://www.singh-ray.com/grndgrads.html]Singh-Ray[/i] for about $100.
Circular, screw-ins - Hoya S-HMC, B+W MRC or Heliopan SH-PMC. Pretty much anything less is going to degrade your picture in many conditions. Quantaray are not worth even the $32 Ritz was asking. You're right - the B+W grad is a round, screw-in and you don't want those for grads.
