Iīm looking for a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (Canon mount) lens.

I can afford $300 for a used one, so I guess that is what Iīm aiming for here.
Lens has to be sharp and have no dust particles (to clean the lens would cost me to much).

300 is a wee bit too low friend. I'm going to put a few things up for sale next week and my 30 1.4 will be one of them. Mine is as mint and sharp as they come (it's only a month old). I payed retail b&m price and got ripped off, but none the less, I wouldn't let it go for less than 390 including 2nd day shipping and paypal fees. B&H is out of stock and has them listed at 429.

I picked mine up new from Sigma btw. It went from manufacturing-->sigma warehouse-->my hands. No shipper soccer for my box ;)

Well, Sigma4less (http://www.sigma4less.com/sess/utn15477da51ed5b24/shopdata/0010_Lenses/0020_Fixed+Focal+Length/0020_Wide/product_details.shopscript?article=0490_Sigma%2BWi de%2BAngle%2B30mm%2Bf%3D26slash%3D3B1%3D252E4%2BEX %2BDC%2BHSM%2BAutofocus%2BLens%2Bfor%2BCanon%2BDig ital%2BEOS%2B%3D28SG30F14CA%3D29) has the lens for $365.
So I wouldnīt say that offering to pay $300 (17% off) for a second hand item would be "lowballing".

Sweet. My post was deleted without notification..

I'll try this ONE MORE TIME.

Sigma4less sells grey market lenses with no 4 year warranty. Sigma service USA will most likely NOT honor the warranty on a grey market lens and sigma4less is not an authorized dealer - this is as-per Sigma service management. It's your choice if you want to buy one that's out of warranty or one that only had a 1 year warranty thats not honored.

This is why B&H is $65 more than sigma4less. B&H is an authorized Sigma dealer.

That's true. SIGMAFORLESS will sell you a 4 year warranty for extra $10 but they don't mention that option unless you ask about the 4 year warranty. I'm not too sure I'd trust them.

I would still question this option though. Who's the vendor honoring the sevice? for 10 bucks? Sounds very dodgy to me. Sigma bases their warranty fulfillment on serial numbers, like everyone else. I've been told by Sigma management that they do not service grey market lenses (based on serial number) under warranty. You can gladly send it to Japan though. This is why a supposed 10$ warranty extension through sigma4less sounds very questionable.

At least with Canon lenses and the Mack warranty - Mack is just an in between. Canon still services the lens.

Well, I see your point. Thanks for letting me know.
But I live in Iceland and will be taking this lens with me back home (from Us to Iceland). I donīt think the warranty is International.

I also found the lens on this page (https://www.preferredphoto.com) for $322. Any idead about that seller? The seller getīs good reviews on the net, but I know nothing more about them than that.
