I think this is a cool shot...what's your opinion? c + c welcome

I agree with you. I like the contrast of lightness and darkness and the softness/smoothness of the feather versus the hardness/roughness of the wooden table. Nice.

good shot, too bad the detail in the soft part of the feather got blown out. You might try a mulit exposure and a mask to get that detail back.
