Fluorescent light

"Compact Fluorescent Lights (FFLs) are cool and last almost forever. These are daylight balanced".

Got that quote from somewhere in the net. My question, are all compact Fluorescent Lights daylight balanced or they are a specialized kind for photography.

No, they are not particularly specialized. I've seen many compact fluorescent lamps that were daylight balanced, and I have see others that were not. Then some that were called that, but they were lots different in color balance.

I found the answer, and it's written on the box..."cool daylight".

Where are all sorts of variations on what some manufacturers call "daylight". Despite those variations, they are all much closer to the light of the sky compared to fluorescent and other types. Try to color balance a sodium vapor light some time.
