ok I'm waiting for my serial for Photoshop CS3 student- but I just wanted to ask what the main differences between

Photoshop
Photoshop Elements
Lightroom Now I've got the trial version of Elements 6 and lightroom- and lightroom appears to be simply another version of Bridge; but I'm probably wrong lol

Could someone give me like a quick explanation of the three and what each is good for? I've read through most of the stickes but can't make it out for myself...

Would be very grateful for any help :D

Hi,

I don't use Elements but I use PS and LR.

LR works ideally with RAW files. You can use it for JPEGs too but its a RAW file editor. Lightroom changes effect the whole image. You can quickly change the look of the entire image and make changes to many files at once. Also LR is used for cataloging pictures.

Photoshop is for image manipulation, you can effect the whole image or just part of the image. Cloning, masking etc.

I am sure someone else can add to what I have said.
